Feuerstein Kulick Wins Three Competitive Cultivation Licenses in Missouri for its Client, Holistic Industries

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), which oversees the State’s Medical Marijuana Program, recently announced the winners of the State’s highly-coveted cultivation licenses. Feuerstein Kulick secured three out of the 60 cultivations licenses awarded by the State on behalf of its client, Holistic Missouri LLC - the Missouri affiliate of multi-state operator Holistic Industries.  Indeed, all three of the applications prepared by Feuerstein Kulick scored in the Top 12 of all 554 cultivation applications considered by the State, with the best garnering the 4th highest score in the State.

Missouri’s application process was one of the most competitive cannabis license contests in the country to date.  DHSS received a total of 2,163 applications for the state's medical marijuana licenses: 1,163 applications were submitted for dispensary licenses (192 will be awarded), 415 applications were submitted for manufacturing licenses (86 will be awarded), and 554 applications were submitted for cultivation licenses (60 were awarded).  We are currently awaiting the results of the dispensary and manufacturing applications that we submitted on behalf of Holistic, which will be announced by the end of January.

This is the third time in the past twelve months that Feuerstein Kulick scored within the Top 4 in a highly-competitive, limited-license application process.  In addition to Missouri, Feuerstein Kulick won a highly-coveted dispensary and consumption lounge license for its client in West Hollywood, CA (Aeon Botanika), earning the second highest score out of hundreds of applicants.  The firm also received the highest score in a competitive application process for a vertical license in Madison Heights, Michigan (also for Holistic).  If you’re interested in learning more about Feuerstein Kulick’s application writing team, please contact Justin Singer (justin@dfmklaw.com) or Brian Korngold (bkorngold@dfmklaw.com).
