Hannah Strassburger

Associate

Hannah is an associate at Feuerstein Kulick. Her practice focuses on trademark registration and protection, litigation, and regulatory advice in the cannabis and hemp industries.

Hannah regularly advises clients on how to protect their cannabis and hemp related brands. In addition to advising on strategy, she has also filed and successfully prosecuted numerous state trademark registrations for cannabis products and services and federal trademark registrations for hemp and cannabis-related goods and services. Hannah’s litigation practice includes a focus on trademark matters and related intellectual property rights for cannabis and hemp companies. She also litigates disputed trademark matters before the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).

Hannah advises cannabis and hemp companies on compliance issues, including issues under the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetics Act, as well as under the rapidly changing state-law regulations governing hemp-derived products. Her clients in this sector have included two of the nation’s largest distributors of natural products, and several companies who sell their hemp-derived products nationally and in major retailers.

Prior to joining Feuerstein Kulick, Hannah was a partner at Ringgenberg Law Firm. Having joined Ringgenberg in 2017, she was on the ground floor of California’s recreational cannabis business program, representing many of California’s industry leaders including cultivators, manufacturers, distributors, and retailers. Prior to that, she served as a law clerk at the Oakland City Attorney’s Office and as a summer associate at an Am Law 100 firm.

During her time at Georgetown, Hannah worked in the Affordable Housing Transactions Clinic at the Harrison Institute, where she represented low-income community group clients in purchasing, financing, rehabilitating, and managing multi-family buildings in the D.C. area. She also served as a Law Fellow for the first-year writing program and as a Senior Writing Fellow for the Georgetown Law Writing Center. She was a member Georgetown’s Journal of Gender and the Law.
