Richard Trotter

Rich Trotter is a litigation and bankruptcy Partner at Feuerstein Kulick. He focuses on complex commercial and cannabis-related disputes and insolvency proceedings. Rich has represented and advised individual, institutional and corporate clients across a wide range of industries, including private equity firms, hedge funds, start-ups and foreign governments. Rich has extensive litigation experience at both the trial and appellate level in State and Federal Courts. He has represented creditors and professionals of the estate in numerous federal bankruptcy proceedings, and is also experienced with state receivership proceedings involving cannabis-related businesses.
Prior to joining Feuerstein Kulick, Rich worked at an Am Law 100 law firm and a mid-sized, New York City-based law firm servicing small and middle-market businesses. Rich is an honors graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, an award winning member of the Moot Court Honor Society and a member of the Order of the Coif. He has also published scholarly legal articles in both the NYU and Dartmouth Law Journals. Prior to law school, Rich worked as a paralegal for Trial Bureau 40 of the New York County District Attorney's Office.
