FK Successfully Settled Lawsuit For Lake Vista Farms In Breach Of Contract Action

FK represented Lake Vista Farms LLC (“Lake Vista”) in a lawsuit against Clearlake Nirvana Farms LLC (“Clearlake”) in Lake County, California. The lawsuit alleged that Clearlake had agreed to lease and then acquire for $9 million Lake Vista’s real estate holdings for the purposes of a 10+ acre cannabis cultivation operation but breached the agreements by, among other things, interfering with the cannabis licensing and permitting process. Clearlake counterclaimed and also filed a separate related action in Marin County Superior Court. The matter was settled shortly before trial in the Lake County action was to begin.
